“Shaping Tomorrow” Insights from the Pakistan National Youth Convention 2024

The Pakistan National Youth Convention 2024 was held in Islamabad from August 20 to 21, bringing together young leaders, students, and professionals from across the country.

On the final day, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), attended the event.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif underscored the government’s wide-ranging initiatives designed to empower the youth, focusing on education, skill development, and innovation-driven programs.

He encouraged the youth to seize these opportunities, emphasizing the role of entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and creativity in shaping the nation’s future.

In his address, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir remarked, “The sparkle in your eyes assures us that Pakistan’s future is in safe hands.

” He highlighted the importance of valuing an independent state, urging the youth to reflect on the situations in Libya, Syria, Kashmir, and Gaza to understand its significance.

General Munir also stressed that Pakistan’s greatest asset is its youth, and the nation is committed to ensuring that this potential is not squandered.

The convention featured interactive sessions, panel discussions, and a Q&A segment, providing a platform for the youth to engage in meaningful dialogue with civil and military leaders and other prominent figures.

Participants left the event feeling inspired and optimistic about the future, motivated by the dedication shown by the country’s leadership.

The convention concluded with a renewed commitment to continue investing in youth development and fostering an environment where young people can contribute significantly to Pakistan’s progress.
