In a notable diplomatic gesture, Russia praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s military, underscoring the strengthening defense ties between the two nations.
On Friday, Col General Sergey Yurvavich Istrakov, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, lauded the capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces during his official visit.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Istrakov met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), at the Joint Staff Headquarters.
Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the ongoing advancements in defense cooperation and discussed the evolving regional security dynamics, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts to promote peace and stability.
General Istrakov also acknowledged Pakistan’s military sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.
