Al Khidmat announces to open new Computer Lab and Library for orphans
Al khidmat Karachi recently hosted a Roza Kushai event at its Aghosh Homes for orphans in Gulshan-e-Maymar, Karachi.
The children who fasted for the first time were celebrated, adorned with garlands, and presented with gifts. CEO Alkhidmat Karachi, Naveed Ali Baig, Executive Director Rashid Qureishi, Director Orphan Care Yousuf Mohideen, Director Community Services Qazi Syed Sadruddin, Senior Manager Inayatullah Ismail, Manager Orphan Care Program Musab bin Abdul Qadir, and Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami District Gadap Irfan Ahmed graced the occasion alongside other officials and journalists.
The ceremony included educating resident children about the significance and purpose of fasting during Ramadan. CEO Naveed Ali Baig commended the children who fasted for the first time, urging them to continue this practice throughout their lives and to express gratitude to Allah in all circumstances.He shared the plight of Palestinian children in Gaza and assured ongoing support from Alkhidmat.
Irfan Ahmed inspired the children by recounting the story of Muhammad bin Qasim, who conquered Sindh at 17 despite being orphaned at 5.
Later, Naveed Ali Baig inaugurated a new Computer Lab and library, appreciating the children’s interest in books and computers, and appealed for assistance from those able to support Alkhidmat Karachi’s efforts for orphans.
The event concluded with an Iftar dinner for the children and guests.
