The Sir Syed Express, operating between Karachi Cantonment and Rawalpindi, will be restored by Pakistan Railways.
The train is scheduled to resume operations on September 1.
Earlier, Pakistan Railways has announced a significant reduction in fares for all classes of passenger trains, effective from Saturday, August 3.
In the new fare structure, AC class tickets have seen a decrease ranging from Rs100 to Rs150, providing substantial savings for passengers travelling in the higher class.
Meanwhile, economy class fares have been reduced by Rs50, making train travel more affordable for a larger segment of the population.
