Boosting women safety and empowerment Punjab unveils female Dolphin Squad

-

In a significant move for both law enforcement and women’s empowerment, the Punjab Police have launched Faisalabad’s first Lady Dolphin Squad.

This pioneering initiative not only aims to enhance crime-fighting capabilities but also marks a major step in empowering women within the police force.

The squad members, trained in operating 500cc heavy bikes and handling automatic weapons, will collaborate with their male counterparts to boost public safety.

Equipped with these advanced tools, the 500 female commandos will establish checkpoints and perform snap checks on roads.

Their initial focus will be on patrolling areas frequently visited by women, such as women’s universities and markets, to strengthen communication and provide support.

The Chief Police Officer of Faisalabad notes that this initiative is designed to improve security and responsiveness in these crucial areas while promoting the role of women in law enforcement.
