“Combating Inflation” – Punjab Government reduced Naan and Roti price

The Punjab government has reduced the prices of naan and roti in Lahore and three other districts to combat inflation.

Deputy commissioner offices have issued notifications for the prompt enforcement of these revised prices. Charging prices higher than those set by the government is strictly prohibited.

According to the notification, the price of roti has been reduced by Rs4 to Rs16 in Lahore, while the new price for a 100-gram roti is set at Rs15 in Sheikhupura, Nankana, and Kasur districts. Additionally, the price of a 120-gram naan has been standardized at Rs20 across all cities.

The notification specifies that this directive will be immediately enforced within the territorial jurisdiction of District Lahore and will remain effective until modified or withdrawn.

Individuals or retailers are not authorized to impose prices exceeding the rates prescribed for the specified items.

“Alhamdulillah! The Punjab government has reduced the prices of roti and fixed it at Rs16.”
