Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has unveiled a comprehensive plan to improve online cab services and enhance safety across the province.
In a recent meeting with an online cab service provider, she highlighted the need for better regulations and technology to benefit both service providers and users. A key proposal is to integrate the Women Safety App with ride-hailing companies to boost security for female riders.
Maryam Nawaz also focused on creating job opportunities for youth and women, and mandated that bike riders use safety gear at all times.
She discussed using information technology to improve transportation facilities and plans to extend the free Wi-Fi project beyond Lahore and Kasur to make online services more accessible.
The Chief Minister reaffirmed the Punjab government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that drive business growth and employment, stating, “We will encourage every initiative that promotes business activity and creates employment.”
