Punjab Agriculture Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo mentioned that registration for the Kisan Card is being conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. So far, approximately 300,000 farmers have completed their registration.
During a meeting on the issuance and registration of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Kisan Card, the secretary expressed satisfaction with the registration progress, noting that around 121,000 farmers’ records have been submitted to the Bank of Punjab. Additionally, production of 250,000 Kisan Cards is currently underway.
He instructed relevant authorities to expedite the final printing of the cards, setting a target to register over 200,000 more farmers by August 1.
Highlighting the importance of Punjab CM Kisan Card, he emphasized that it is essential for accessing subsidy schemes and Agriculture Department facilities.
Furthermore, Iftikhar Ali mentioned the ongoing efforts to finalize mechanization for purchasing diesel and mobil oil from PSO filling stations.
