The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has postponed its planned rally in Lahore, which was originally scheduled for August 27, due to administrative obstacles, according to inshort News.
PTI’s Information Secretary, Shaukat Mahmood Basra, revealed that the local administration has refused to grant the necessary permission for the rally, despite a directive from the Lahore High Court (LHC).
Basra expressed the party’s frustration, noting that PTI has decided to delay the rally because of the authorities’ non-compliance. The party also plans to file a contempt of court petition against the administration for disregarding the court order.
PTI intends to reschedule the rally after September and is currently focused on its rescheduled Islamabad rally, now set for September 8, following a request from the Islamabad administration.
The new date for the Lahore rally will be announced after the Islamabad event.
