PTI and Government’s Rush to Partner with Jamaat-e-Islami

-

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and the federal government are accelerating their negotiations with Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) in a bid to form strategic alliances.

Former President Dr. Arif Alvi from PTI is set to meet with JI leaders today in Mansoora, while a government delegation is expected to follow up with a meeting within the next 48 hours.

The PTI’s renewed engagement with Jamaat-e-Islami aims to strengthen its position against the current government. Alvi’s visit underscores PTI’s strategy to partner with JI to counteract the government’s policies and to collaborate on addressing mutual concerns and planning joint actions.

In parallel, the federal government has arranged its own meeting with JI leaders, indicating the party’s significant role in the country’s political landscape. This simultaneous outreach by both PTI and the government highlights the strategic importance of Jamaat-e-Islami in shaping the current political environment.
