🇵🇰✈🇸🇦 Islamabad, September 18, 2025:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was given an extraordinary royal welcome in Saudi Arabia, walking on a purple carpet—a gesture previously reserved for only the world’s most influential leaders, including former US President Donald Trump.
His plane was escorted by F-15 jets, symbolizing the deep brotherly ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
At Yamama Palace, Sharif met Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss economic cooperation, energy support, and regional security, alongside signing a historic strategic defence pact. Pakistan now joins Saudi Arabia in protecting the Two Holy Mosques, with any attack on one nation considered an attack on both.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir played a key role in the deal, which also includes joint military training, exercises, and defence industry
