Mobile Phone Services Suspended in 21 Punjab Districts for Muharram 9 and 10

The Punjab Home Department has announced the suspension of mobile phone services in 21 districts across the province on Muharram 9 and 10, as reported by InShort News.

This measure includes sensitive areas in cities such as Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Muzaffargarh, DG Khan, Rahim Yar Khan, Layyah, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Rajanpur, among others.

However, mobile services will remain operational in districts like Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, and several others.

The federal government has also approved the deployment of armed forces nationwide to ensure security during the month of Muharram, responding to requests from various provinces and regions.
