Fuel Relief – Petroleum price in Pakistan may be decreased from Oct 1

-

Petroleum product prices in Pakistan are anticipated to decrease starting October 1, following a notable decline in international market rates.

Sources suggest that the federal government may announce this reduction on September 30. Petrol prices could fall by Rs 1 to 3 per litre, while diesel prices might drop by Rs 3 per litre, driven by a decrease in global oil prices, with Brent crude down by $0.50 to $72.27 per barrel.

The new pricing will require the Prime Minister’s approval before the official announcement on September 30.

Earlier, on September 15, the government had already eased prices, cutting petrol by Rs 10 per litre, diesel by Rs 13.6 per litre, light diesel by Rs 12 per litre, and kerosene by Rs 11 to Rs 15 per litre.
