The horse and Cattle Show, along with a three-day cultural festival, has officially opened in Peshawar.
The event was inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur at Colonel Sher Khan Stadium, who released pigeons into the air to mark the occasion.
As part of the festival, Chief Minister Gandapur presented 40 valuable horses for exhibition. The event also featured a traditional Khatak dance, and SSG commandos delivered an impressive skydiving display.
The cultural festival showcased a collection of vintage cars, which captured the attention of the attendees.
During his speech, Ali Amin Gandapur emphasized that Pakistan is both our country and our identity. He highlighted the importance of passing on the culture and heritage inherited from our ancestors to future generations. He also expressed that such events were made possible because of the immense sacrifices made by security forces, police officers, teachers, polio workers, and civilians in the fight against terrorism in the province.
Chief Minister Gandapur also took a lap around the stadium on horseback during the cultural festival.
At the event, he presented a souvenir to Corps Commander Peshawar, Lieutenant General Umar Ahmed Bukhari.
