Pentagon Denounces Terrorist Attack in Balochistan

-

WASHINGTON: The Pentagon, the U.S. Department of Defense headquarters, has firmly denounced the recent terrorist attack in Balochistan, Pakistan.

During a press briefing, Pentagon spokesperson Sabrina Singh expressed deep condemnation of the terrorist activities in Pakistan.

When questioned about U.S. support for Pakistan in combating terrorism, Singh emphasized Washington’s ongoing commitment to collaborating with Pakistan in eradicating terrorist threats.

Singh highlighted the enduring cooperation between the U.S. and the Pakistani government, stating that this partnership would persist.

When asked about the meeting with India’s defense minister regarding attacks on Sikhs, Singh declined to comment on the matter.

Additionally, Singh mentioned that U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has sanctioned additional military support for the Secret Service to enhance security for presidential and vice-presidential candidates in the upcoming elections.

Although specific details were not disclosed, Singh confirmed that this assistance, ordered by Northern Command, would be in place nationwide through the November 5 elections and continue until the inauguration of the new president and vice-president in January 2025.
