PDM Calls Release of Imran Khan a ‘Conspiracy’

-

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has called the release of former Prime Minister Imran Khan a “conspiracy” and has said that it will not allow him to return to power.

The PDM, an opposition alliance, has been protesting against Khan’s government since he was ousted from power in a no-confidence motion in April. The alliance has accused Khan of corruption and mismanagement and has demanded that he be held accountable for his actions.

Khan was released from jail on May 12 after the Lahore High Court granted him bail in a case related to the alleged misuse of government funds for his personal expenses.

In a statement, the PDM said that Khan’s release was a “conspiracy” to destabilize Pakistan. The alliance said that it would not allow Khan to return to power and would continue to protest against the government until he was removed from power.
