Syed Javed Anwar, a notable Pakistani-American businessman, has taken on the responsibility for Zaheer’s medical costs. The Pakistani Consulate and her family are also involved in coordinating her care. Pakistani Consul General Aftab Chaudhry has visited Zaheer and assured her of full support during her recovery.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed condolences and pledged that the government will assist Zaheer’s parents if they decide to travel to the US to support their daughter.
