Pakistan Railways has decided to run 22 passenger trains under a public-private partnership model.
This decision aims to improve services for passengers and boost the railway’s revenue.
Pakistan Railways CEO Amir Ali Baloch expressed the goal of enhancing the travel experience, highlighting upgrades to dining cars and plans to introduce premium dining facilities on trains like Tezgam and Zakariya Express.
He also noted the positive reception of new “executive washrooms” at Lahore Railway Station and announced their expansion to major stations nationwide within three months.
