Pakistan is filled with joyous celebrations as the nation observes Eid Milad-un-Nabi, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The country is illuminated with vibrant decorations, primarily green lights, adding a festive touch to the streets and buildings in honor of this sacred day.
While Muslims around the world celebrate 12th Rabi ul Awal in various ways, Pakistan’s festivities stand out with processions, milad gatherings, and prayer ceremonies. In Karachi, the MA Jinnah Road has been closed to accommodate several large processions, with traffic diversion plans in place.
In line with the celebrations, both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif shared messages highlighting the significance of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings for the Muslim community.
President Zardari’s Message
President Zardari emphasized the importance of following the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as a way to navigate the challenges of today. He urged the nation to embrace justice, compassion, and support for the marginalized, following the example set by the Prophet (PBUH). He called for unity and the promotion of brotherhood.
PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Message
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed these sentiments, stressing the need to address current challenges by adhering to the principles of love, tolerance, and justice taught by the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He also expressed solidarity with the oppressed people in Palestine and Kashmir, calling for global action on their behalf.
Both leaders encouraged the nation to apply the Prophet’s (PBUH) values in everyday life to create a more just and compassionate society.
