Nigerian Citizen Caught with 38 Cocaine Capsules in Stomach at Lahore Airport

-

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has arrested a Nigerian national at Lahore International Airport for drug smuggling.

The suspect, who arrived from Nigeria via Dubai, was found with 38 capsules of cocaine concealed in his stomach.

According to an ANF spokesperson, the capsules contained 608 grams of cocaine in total.

This case underscores a concerning rise in drug smuggling by foreign nationals.

In 2023, ten Nigerians were arrested in similar cases, with 4.811 kilograms of drugs seized.

This year alone, seven operations have led to the arrest of eight Nigerians and the seizure of 11.420 kilograms of narcotics.

The suspect faces charges under the Anti-Narcotics Act, with further investigations underway.
