Heartbreaking! Newborn Sold for Rs. 50,000, Rescued by Police

TANDO MUHAMMAD KHAN: Can desperation push a father to trade his own flesh and blood for money? In a heartbreaking tale of poverty and despair, a newborn was sold by his father for Rs. 50,000—only to be traced and rescued by the police.

CCTV footage led authorities to uncover the grim exchange, where Sohail Palijo handed over his infant to Ghulam Haider for cash. Both men were arrested, and Haider revealed that the child had been passed on to another person in Hyderabad.

The mother, devastated and helpless, had earlier informed police that hospital bills had driven her husband to this tragic decision. However, the hospital later stated that the parents had already paid Rs. 10,000, which has since been refunded.

In a moment of relief, the police successfully recovered the baby and returned him to his mother—ending a nightmare no child should ever endure.
