Shadows of Disillusionment … Elections without hope in Pakistan.
The Pakistani establishment made concerted efforts to persuade the populace that the veteran figures of Pakistani politics were corrupt and inept. Consequently, in 2018, Pakistanis opted for a “Naya Pakistan” embodied by Imran Khan. However, the journey since then has been likened to a roller coaster ride.
A social media user recently tweeted a cautionary message, warning that the nation is on the verge of reverting to the old ways, lamenting, “Beware, we are entering into Purana Pakistan.” The current dilemma lies in the resurgence of these old familiar political figures assuming positions of power. The current political landscape in Pakistan finds the foremost party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, conspicuously sidelined in the process of government formation.
Furthermore the victories of MQM , PPP and PML N are dubious in the eyes of voters . There exists a general disbelief regarding the validity and authenticity of the electoral triumphs claimed by potential future leaders.
This scenario strengthens the atmosphere of uncertainty . This pervasive doubt serves to further intensif the already widespread disillusionment and discontent among the populace.
Consequently, amidst a backdrop of political ambiguity and skepticism, a palpable sense of hopelessness pervades, with citizens harboring little to no optimism for meaningful progress or positive change. Consequently, the prevailing sentiment among the masses is one of deep-seated disappointment and frustration, as they hold these figures directly responsible for their ongoing hardships and collective suffering.
Some interesting Urdu poetry is going viral that reflects the frustration among populace .
