Mohsin Naqvi Asserts No Tolerance for Armed Opposition Against Pakistan

-

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has called for unity among political forces against any groups that challenge the authority of the Pakistani state.

Speaking during the Senate session, Naqvi emphasized that while the government is committed to addressing the concerns of those who accept the state’s legitimacy, the use of force against the state will not be tolerated.

Naqvi highlighted that during his recent visit to Quetta, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with key stakeholders in Balochistan to address regional issues.

The Prime Minister has approved five billion rupees for the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Balochistan and eight billion rupees for provincial development to tackle local problems.

Naqvi also revealed that the attacks on August 26 were intended to disrupt the upcoming SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting, scheduled for October in Pakistan.

Opposition Leader Shibli Faraz underscored the importance of political dialogue in resolving these issues. The Senate session was adjourned, with plans to reconvene on Monday at 5 PM.
