Awam Pakistan aims to change how the country is governed by giving ordinary people more say in decision-making.
The party, set to launch on July 6 with former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi as convener, has been reaching out to politicians nationwide.
Several prominent figures from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) are also joining AP, including Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan Abbasi, Javed Abbasi, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, and others. Sheikh Salahuddin and Dr Zafar Mirza will also be part of the party.
