DSP Ali Raza of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) was fatally shot on Sunday evening in Karimabad by unidentified gunmen. The attackers fired multiple rounds at his vehicle, critically injuring him.
Despite efforts by medical staff at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, he tragically passed away due to a gunshot wound to the head.
During the incident, 11 shell casings were recovered, suggesting the use of 9mm firearms. Another person, a security guard from a nearby building, was also injured but is currently in stable condition receiving medical treatment.
Chief Minister Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, strongly condemned the attack, labeling it an act of terrorism. He instructed the DIG CTD and SSP Central to promptly investigate the matter and submit a detailed report. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of swift justice and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
