Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah led a meeting on Friday to assess the ongoing progress of the Malir Expressway.

Attendees included Planning and Development Minister Nasser Hussein Shah, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, and Energy Secretary Musaddiq Khan.

During the meeting, it was revealed that the first phase of the Malir Expressway is nearly 84% complete, while phase two is about 35% finished.

The 50-kilometer expressway will link the M-9 Motorway with the National Highway, featuring six interchanges, three bridges, one underpass, and five automated toll booths.

CM Murad Ali Shah urged the team to accelerate work on connecting the Jam Sadiq Bridge and finalize the Shaheen Interchange within a week. He confirmed that the first phase, covering the Korangi Causeway to Quaidabad, will be operational by next month.
