In a bold crackdown on corruption, the National Accountability Bureau (Nhttps://www.nab.gov.pk/AB) is gearing up to confiscate more assets of the infamous property mogul Malik Riaz, now hiding in Dubai to evade justice.
Accused of masterminding billion-rupee frauds, Malik Riaz allegedly built illegal housing empires across Karachi, Rawalpindi, New Murree, Peshawar, and Jamshoro without securing the necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs). Investigations into his web of fraud and land-grabbing are mounting, leaving investors reeling.
A Network of Fraud Unveiled
NAB has exposed Riaz’s schemes, claiming he exploited the Bahria Town name to seize land and swindle massive amounts from unsuspecting investors. “Malik Riaz is a fugitive in the NCA case, wanted by courts and NAB alike,” a spokesperson declared.
Despite his fugitive status, Riaz has audaciously launched a luxury apartment project in Dubai, which NAB warns could be a front for money laundering. Citizens have been urged to steer clear of this risky investment, which could drag them into legal trouble.
Government Joins the Hunt
NAB is intensifying efforts by coordinating with Dubai authorities to target Riaz’s illicit empire and chart the next steps to recover stolen wealth. “We are determined to expose those plundering in the name of illegal housing societies,” the spokesperson emphasized, calling for public vigilance.
With Bahria Town assets already seized in Pakistan, NAB is leaving no stone unturned in its pursuit of holding Malik Riaz accountable for his alleged corruption spree.
