Lahore: A significant operation took place at Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore, where the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), along with Interpol and the Immigration wing, apprehended a long-wanted fugitive.
Fahad Mehmood, who had been on the run for 16 years, was arrested at the airport as he attempted to flee to Greece. The Gujranwala police had been seeking Mehmood in connection with a murder case dating back to 2008, which was filed at the Cantt police station in Gujranwala.
The FIA has since transferred Mehmood to Punjab Police authorities for further legal proceedings.
