In a significant development, Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, has accepted the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s (SC) suggestion to engage in discussions with all political parties, including the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP).
Responding positively to the apex court’s encouragement, Khan has expressed readiness to initiate dialogues with various political factions aimed at addressing the country’s pressing issues and promoting political stability.
Khan will draft a letter to the top court to convey his commitment to this dialogue and will instruct PTI’s political leadership on the letter’s content and tone. Key PTI leaders, along with Khan, have already begun outlining the letter’s essential points.
To facilitate this effort, PTI has established a Legal Committee tasked with finalizing the letter, ensuring it accurately reflects the current political landscape and articulates Pakistan’s challenges. The committee’s meeting will be crucial in crafting a comprehensive and constructive document.
