‘Khailta Punjab’ Programme Solar Systems to Be Installed in Punjab Sports Complexes

Solar systems will be installed in the new sports complexes and facilities being constructed under the Punjab Chief Minister’s ‘Khailta Punjab’ Programme.

This was announced by Secretary Youth Affairs Punjab, Muzaffar Khan Sial while presiding over a Departmental Development Sub-Committee (DDSC) meeting at Punjab Stadium.

The meeting also reviewed the construction and maintenance of 100 sports schemes. Officials provided detailed briefings on sports development in South, North, and Central Punjab.

Attendees included DG Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Pervez Iqbal, Senior Chief P&D M Imran, Project Director PMU Qaiser Raza, Deputy Secretary Marhaba Naimat, Finance Department Section Officer M Qasim, and other officials.

Secretary Sial emphasized that new sports complexes and stadiums will be constructed according to the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and efforts are being made to restore old stadiums in the province.

He also highlighted the provision of top-class sports facilities in previously underserved areas, including the construction of badminton courts in new sports complexes.

DG Youth Affairs Punjab Pervez Iqbal noted that measures are being taken to develop a sports culture across the province, and the new sports complexes will help identify and nurture fresh talent from remote areas. He added that the complexes are being built to meet modern sports requirements, ensuring proper development of the province’s abundant sports talent.
