Political parties have strongly opposed the government’s recent increase in petroleum prices, demanding an immediate rollback and promising to launch protests.
Jamaat-e-Islami has condemned the hike, calling it unjust and unacceptable to the people, according to spokesperson Qaisar Sharif.
They announced a sit-in protest in Islamabad on July 26 under the banner of the ‘Haq Do Awaam Ko’ movement, aiming to challenge what they perceive as anti-people policies through street demonstrations and legal actions.
Additionally, a PTI spokesperson criticized the federal government for being incompetent and accused them of stealing the mandate. They argued that the government’s actions, including soaring fuel and electricity prices, worsen economic hardships for citizens rather than alleviating them.
