Chaos erupted on the Quetta rail line after a powerful explosion struck the track between Bakhtiarabad and Damboli, forcing the sudden cancellation of the Jaffer Express and leaving over 300 passengers stranded in the heat of Balochistan.

The Jaffer Express, en route from Peshawar to Quetta, was halted in Sibi following Thursday’s blast that damaged the railway line and was believed to have targeted the Karachi-bound Bolan Mail—with coach number seven partially blown apart.
With the train stuck and panic setting in, authorities scrambled to arrange a shuttle service to safely ferry passengers to Quetta. Meanwhile, the district administration set up emergency accommodation at the local circuit house.
