Islamabad police have apprehended lawyer Imaan Mazari after an incident involving a confrontation with officers regarding route obstruction.
The altercation occurred a few days ago when Mazari reportedly dismantled barriers that had been placed on the route. A case has been registered at the Abpara police station, citing charges of encroachment and obstruction. Mazari’s husband has also been named as a co-accused in the case.
Authorities indicate that this arrest and the charges are part of a broader initiative to tackle violations related to public routes. An ongoing investigation into the matter is currently in progress.
