When Gaza Bleeds, Islamabad Stands
With hearts heavy and voices unwavering, thousands flooded the streets of Islamabad on April 20, 2025, in a historic Gaza March led by Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman—an emotional uprising of solidarity with the people of Palestine.
As Palestinian flags fluttered and tearful prayers rose into the air, Hafiz Naeem condemned Israel’s unrelenting aggression and the global silence surrounding it.
“Gaza is burning, children are being martyred—and yet, our leaders remain quiet,”
he said, his voice trembling with pain and resolve.

Choking back emotion, he invoked the words of Pakistan’s first Prime Minister, Liaquat Ali Khan:
“I cannot sell my soul for dollars.”
Hafiz Naeem contrasted that legacy with today’s leadership, accusing them of cowardice and fear of Israel.
“No container can block a broken heart or silence a wounded soul,” he declared, referencing the barricades placed to deter the march.
