A canteen worker at Saleem Colony Government School in Gujranwala has been detained on charges of raping several schoolgirls.
The arrest follows five separate complaints filed by the victims’ parents.
Police report that the suspect, employed at the school canteen, was found to have filmed his assaults on the young girls.
Indecent videos were discovered on his phone during the investigation. The man has admitted to the crimes, and multiple charges, including rape, have been filed against him at Saddar Police Station.
Authorities have pledged to take swift legal action. Meanwhile, the victims’ families are calling for severe penalties for the perpetrator and enhanced security measures in schools to safeguard children from such crimes.
