During a special Independence Day reception hosted by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir honored retired Pakistan Army officers and soldiers.

The event, aimed at celebrating army veterans, was attended by numerous former officers and officials.

General Munir praised the veterans for their significant contributions to Pakistan’s history and emphasized their continued role in the country’s development.

He spoke about the critical need for unity and resilience in addressing current challenges and stressed the importance of maintaining the integrity of the armed forces amidst evolving threats.

The Chief of Army Staff urged the ex-servicemen to keep contributing to Pakistan’s growth and warned against the dangers of fake news and propaganda, which he said seek to undermine the bond between the people and the armed forces.

He assured that the unwavering support of the nation, including that of the veterans, would counteract such threats and ensure national security.

In response, the veterans expressed their confidence in the Pakistan Army’s leadership and reaffirmed their commitment to addressing both internal and external challenges.

The ISPR described the event as a testament to the strong connection between the army and its veterans, highlighting their collective dedication to the nation’s prosperity and security.

The reception not only celebrated the achievements of past military personnel but also strengthened the ongoing relationship between the army and its ex-servicemen, reflecting a shared commitment to Pakistan’s stability and development.

It served as a poignant reminder of the enduring legacy and influence of those who have served.
