Missing No More Gandapur’s Dramatic Return to KP Assembly

-

In a dramatic political turn, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, previously reported as “missing,” reappeared on Sunday, entering the KP Assembly after PTI demanded his return within 24 hours.

Gandapur was welcomed with cheers and applause as he made his way into the assembly.

Taking the floor shortly after, he delivered a forceful speech, thanking PTI supporters for standing by party leader Imran Khan.

Recounting the circumstances of his “disappearance,” Gandapur accused the Islamabad inspector-general (IG) of police and the Rangers of “raiding KP House, sealing its gates, and mistreating the staff and women present.”

“They fired at us directly, used tear gas, and there wasn’t even an FIR,” he said. “Although they mentioned an FIR, they didn’t explain what the charges were. I asked what crime I had committed and told them they could arrest me, following Imran Khan’s instructions.”

He added that he had been inside KP House “the entire night,” with the police raiding it four times.

“All the evidence points against them. How dare they target the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government? We will not let this insult go unpunished,” he asserted.

Gandapur also stated that the IG must “repair all the damage done to KP House. My car was confiscated, and my guard was taken away.”

He went on to demand that the IG should “appear before the KP Assembly and apologize for the vandalism.”

He concluded by announcing, “A case will be filed against the IG of Islamabad.”
