Foreign Office Responds to Reports of Faheem Khan’s Arrest in Saudi Arabia

-

The Foreign Office (FO) of Pakistan addressed the controversy surrounding the alleged arrest of former PTI MNA Faheem Khan in Saudi Arabia.

On Thursday, FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zehra Baloch clarified that the reports of Khan’s detention were inaccurate, stating that Khan is not in Saudi custody.

When asked about the status of Khan’s detention, Baloch emphasized that Pakistani citizens must follow the laws of the countries they visit.

She suggested that journalists should verify the information about his arrest or release themselves.

The PTI had earlier claimed that Khan was detained in Saudi Arabia, allegedly due to a video he made in front of the Kaaba on May 9.

The party’s Karachi chapter suggested that the arrest might have been influenced by the Pakistani government.

PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh mentioned that the party is actively working with Khan’s family to ensure his prompt release.
