DSP Zafar Javed and his son were apprehended alongside another individual in connection with a robbery at a pan shop in Karachi.
SSP Arif Aslam informed the press that the trio, including a senior police officer his son and son’s friend were captured after the robbery occurred in the Gulshan-e-Iqbal area late Wednesday night.
Shahzeb, the shop owner, lodged a complaint at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police Station, leading to the registration of a case.
Additionally, the police van utilized during the crime was confiscated.
The surge in crime rates in the port city has become alarming, with robbers claiming the lives of at least 71 individuals in the first five months of 2024.
