Double Quake Rattles Zhob Region of Balochistan, Residents on Alert

Early Monday morning, the Zhob region of Balochistan experienced two consecutive earthquakes, causing concern among residents.

The first tremor, measuring 5.0 in magnitude, struck at a depth of 35 kilometers, with its epicenter located 106 kilometers south of Zhob. According to the US Geological Survey, this quake also affected an area 61 kilometers north of the Kohlu district, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

Less than an hour later, a second tremor, registering 3.9 in magnitude, hit the same region at a depth of 151 kilometers, with its epicenter 79 kilometers south of Zhob.

These successive tremors have unsettled the local population, although there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and advising residents to remain vigilant for potential aftershocks.
