Daska Tragedy – Woman’s Murder Exposed as In-Laws Confess to Heinous Crime

-

Sialkot police have solved the shocking murder case of a young woman in Daska’s Kotli Marlan area, identifying close family members, including the mother-in-law, as culprits in the brutal crime.

The investigation began after the victim’s father reported her missing several months ago. During the probe, police uncovered a chilling conspiracy involving the mother-in-law, Sughran Bibi, her daughter Yasmin, her grandson, and a relative from Lahore, Naveed.

According to police, the accused suffocated Zara, dismembered her body, and attempted to conceal her identity by burning her face. The remains were stuffed into bags and dumped in a drain. Naveed, lured with promises of moving to Italy, played a key role in the crime.

Zara, daughter of police ASI Shabbir Ahmed, married her cousin Qadeer four years ago and moved to Italy. Family disputes reportedly escalated when Qadeer began sending money directly to Zara’s account, straining her relationship with her mother-in-law.

Sughran initially tried to create conflict by accusing Zara of infidelity but, failing that, plotted her murder. When Zara returned to Pakistan recently, the gruesome plan was executed.

Police arrested the accused after questioning Sughran’s grandson, who confessed and disclosed the entire scheme. The murder weapon and Zara’s mobile phones were recovered during the investigation.

Zara’s Father Speaks :

Meanwhile in an interview with Geo News, the father of the deceased Zara, Shabbir Ahmed, said that Zara’s husband had called him to inform him that he was unable to contact Zara.

He mentioned that he went to his daughter’s in-laws’ house and confronted the mother-in-law, saying, “You have killed my daughter.” When the police were called, the suspects were arrested.

Zara’s father further explained that his daughter had returned from Saudi Arabia about a month and a half ago. She had stayed at her parents’ house for a month and had been dropped off at her in-laws’ house just 10 days ago.

He added that the mother-in-law was jealous because her son was taking his wife out with him. Zara had told him during their last conversation that she felt unsafe at her in-laws’ house.

This case highlights a deeply disturbing family betrayal, leaving the community in shock. Further legal proceedings are underway.
