Chinese Premier Li Qiang Inaugurates Gwadar Airport, Reaffirms Commitment to Pakistan’s Development.

Chinese Premier Li Qiang, during the virtual inauguration of the New Gwadar International Airport, emphasized China’s dedication to Pakistan’s growth, calling their bond “eternal.”

He highlighted the airport’s significance for boosting regional trade and development under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Following the inauguration, Pakistan and China signed several agreements on education, water resources, and technology cooperation, alongside a currency exchange arrangement to promote trade in local currencies.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed Li Qiang to Islamabad, marking the first visit by a Chinese premier to Pakistan in 11 years.
