Biometric Verification Now Mandatory at Airports for International Travel

-

The government has taken a major step to enhance border security by introducing mandatory biometric verification at all airports nationwide.

This new requirement applies to all international passengers.

The Interior Ministry highlighted that biometric technology will be crucial in preventing wanted individuals from leaving or entering the country. The verification process will occur at international immigration counters, ensuring thorough screening of passengers before they board their flights.

Officials explained that this initiative is part of an ongoing effort to upgrade the country’s security infrastructure to meet global standards. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been instructed to ensure the swift implementation of these new systems across all airports.
