In a move to ease the burden of rising fuel costs, the government has announced significant price reductions.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s administration has introduced major cuts in petrol and diesel prices, effective from September 16 for the next two weeks.
According to the Finance Ministry, petrol prices will drop by Rs10 per litre, and high-speed diesel (HSD) will be reduced by Rs13.6 per litre.
Following these adjustments, petrol will cost Rs249.10 per litre, and high-speed diesel will be priced at Rs249.69 per litre.
Additionally, the price of kerosene oil will decrease by Rs11.15 per litre, bringing it to Rs158.47 per litre.
These reductions offer short-term relief to consumers amid fluctuating global fuel prices.
