Aseefa submitted her nomination form for the by-election making her debut in electoral politics.

In a significant move marking her entry into the political scenario, Bhutto family’s youngest Aseefa Bhutto Zardari has submitted her nomination papers as she is contesting an upcoming by-election for the NA-207 Nawabshah seat.

And now youngest Bhutoo in Parliment

The seat fell vacant after Asif Ali Zardari was elevated to become the 14th President of Pakistan. Aseefa submitted her nomination form for the by-election making her debut in electoral politics. A large number of supporters and party members showed up to welcome Aseefa.

Born into a political family on February 3, 1993, in London, Aseefa has carved her path as a dedicated advocate for public health and a rising political force.

Aseefa’s early life was marked by a significant moment when, as an infant, she became the first child in Pakistan to receive the polio vaccine, a testament to her family’s commitment to healthcare initiatives.

She got a bachelor’s degree in politics and sociology from Oxford Brookes University and a master’s degree in global health and development from University College London.

Aseefa was appointed Pakistan’s goodwill ambassador for polio eradication in 2012. Her tireless efforts in combating the disease made her a familiar face across the nation. She spearheaded campaigns and engaged with communities affected by polio.

She made headlines as the youngest Pakistani to address the prestigious Oxford Union at the age of 21, showcasing her eloquence and vision for her country’s future.

Aseefa has transitioned into active politics, making her debut at a rally in Multan in 2020. Her journey hasn’t been without challenges, as she encountered minor injuries during a PPP procession in 2022.

Aseefa’s journey to the forefront of politics has been characterized by her steadfast support for her father and the PPP. Over the past decade, she has been a vocal advocate for the party’s political objectives, standing alongside Zardari in various capacities.

Notably, her presence at her father’s oath ceremony as president symbolized her unwavering commitment to the party’s cause. As the by-election approaches, all eyes are on Aseefa Bhutto Zardari’s campaign as she seeks to secure the trust and support of voters in NA-207 Nawabshah.

With her dual roles as a political candidate and the likely first lady, Aseefa is poised to make significant strides in shaping Pakistan’s political landscape and continuing her family’s enduring legacy.
