Celebrate Eid with Savory Beef Pasanday

Savor the joy of Eid with this irresistible beef pasanday recipe, bursting with aromatic spices and rich flavors. Perfect for sharing with loved ones during festive gatherings.

Ingredients:

  • 500g beef, thinly sliced into pasanday (fillets)
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 3 tablespoons yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil for frying
  • Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, marinate the beef pasanday with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add diced tomatoes to the skillet and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
  4. Add marinated beef pasanday to the skillet and cook until they are browned on all sides.
  5. Pour in a little water, cover the skillet, and let the beef cook until tender and cooked through.
  6. Once the beef pasanday are cooked, remove the lid and let the gravy thicken to your desired consistency.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves before serving.
  8. Serve hot with naan or rice for a delicious and satisfying meal.
