The federal government has decided to launch the National Economic Transformation Plan for 2024-25, named “Udaan Pakistan.” This plan sets ambitious targets for the country’s economic growth, literacy rate, and poverty reduction.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the new five-year Udaan Pakistan plan aimed at achieving sustainable economic development. The Prime Minister will officially launch the National Economic Transformation Plan at a special ceremony on Friday.
Under the approved plan, the government aims to boost the GDP growth to 9.8%, increase the literacy rate to 70%, and reduce poverty by 13% over the next five years. The plan also includes a goal to enhance Pakistan’s economy to a trillion-dollar size by 2035.
This new plan aims to set Pakistan on a path to sustainable, high economic growth. It will be based on the Five Es framework, focusing on exports, infrastructure, equity, ethics, and empowering the people.
