Amidst the lush landscapes of Karnataka state, an interesting incident happened, revealing the intricate dance between predator and prey in the wild.
It began with a hungry tiger relentlessly pursuing a dog, driven by the primal urge to satiate its hunger . The dog leaped into the courtyard of a government rest house through a closed door, with the tiger right behind.
However, fate had a different plan, as both found themselves ensnared within the confines of the courtyard, trapped in an unexpected standoff.
The tiger managed to enter behind the dog and both got trapped. Seeing the tiger, the dog quietly sat in a corner and waited for the tiger to pounce.
Both animals remained together in various corners for almost 12 hours. Then, the forest department team tranquilized the tiger and set the dog free.
Now the question arises: why didn’t the hungry tiger eat the dog, even though it was chasing it for food, while it could easily do so in the confined space of the closed room?
Experts in wildlife explain that wild animals are very sensitive about their freedom. As soon as they feel that their freedom has been taken away, they can feel deep anguish, to the extent that they forget their hunger and thirst.
Amidst the primal struggle for survival, unexpected alliances can emerge, teaching us the value of coexistence and the intricate balance of nature.
The incident highlights that freedom surpasses even the most basic necessities like hunger and shelter.
For a nation accustomed to enduring hardships such as queues for basic provisions and refugee camps, Ration bags , Health cards, Benazir income support program … the true value of freedom might not be fully grasped. While essential needs are important, the paramount importance of freedom in life cannot be overstated.
