Mark Your Calendar: Witness Six Planets in the Sky on August 24th!

-

If you missed the chance to see six planets lined up on June 3rd, don’t worry! You’ll have another opportunity this August.

On August 24th, a rare celestial event will occur where six planets can be seen together in the night sky.

Mercury, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars will be visible to the naked eye. However, to get a clear view of Neptune and Uranus, you’ll need binoculars. The lineup will start with Saturn, followed by Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars as the night progresses. Mercury will be visible just before sunrise.

This planetary alignment, known as a “planet parade,” will be visible globally. It’s the third such event this year, following a few planets visible during April’s solar eclipse and the June 3rd planet parade. In August, this spectacular alignment will be visible for about a week, depending on your location on Earth.

So, mark your calendars and don’t miss this amazing astronomical event. Whether you’re an astronomy enthusiast or simply curious about the universe, this is a fantastic opportunity to witness our solar system in action!
