June 9 commemorated the third death anniversary of the legendary media figure.
June 9, marked the death anniversary of the one and only Dr. Aamir Liaquat — a man who lived a stormy life and left the world in the same dramatic fashion. Doctor, journalist, speaker, naat reciter, author, TV host, poet, politician, parliamentarian, preacher — which of his many roles should one remember?
Whether people admired or disliked him, one thing is clear: his absence left a sting in everyone’s heart. Let us remember him with a prayer — and try to learn from his journey.
Controversy doesn’t sustain life :

From Altaf Bhai to Junaid Jamshed, and from Aalim Online to game shows — Aamir Liaquat deliberately stayed embroiled in controversies. He drew energy and excitement from them. But ultimately, playing with controversy cost him everything — he became a victim of the very chaos he once thrived on.
Life only blossoms with family :

When one toys with relationships, nothing else can fill the void. Even if the world idolizes such a person, deep down they remain alone. Distant ones come closer, and close ones drift away. Before his death, Aamir kept tagging his children on Instagram, posting their photos — but the pain was such that they deactivated their accounts just to avoid him.
Showbiz is an illusion :

He was undoubtedly a showbiz icon — topping ratings, commanding his own fees, and ruling every Ramadan transmission slot. But beneath the glitter lay a hollow. The unnatural pace of the entertainment world led him to seek refuge in drugs — and everything started slipping through his fingers like sand.
A double life walks on a thread :

Gifted and versatile, he was educated, articulate, quick-witted, good-looking, and politically seasoned. Truly one of a kind. He could speak endlessly on religion, politics, and entertainment. Yet, this very fusion confused his audience. One night, people would see him crying before God in Laylat-ul-Qadr — and three days later, laughing in bright, colorful Eid shows. Marketing demands forced him into living two lives.
What you sow , shall you reap :

Aamir Liaquat was known for his words — sharp, clever, sometimes too sharp.
In one of his most infamous on-air moments, he ridiculed Junaid Jamshed, the once-pop star turned devout preacher, after Junaid made a slip while speaking about a revered religious figure. Aamir condemned him live on TV, calling for a ban on his appearances — a move that left Junaid heartbroken.
But Junaid didn’t respond with anger. In an interview, he quietly said: “I’ve handed over my case to Allah.”
When Junaid Jamshed tragically died in a plane crash, the nation wept — and those who remembered the incident began to wonder: Was this the echo of a voice once silenced?
Years later, when Aamir himself faced public humiliation, personal isolation, and downfall — many saw it as karma in motion.
Because every word we speak becomes a mirror — and one day, it reflects back.
Legacy is greater than luxury :

Cars, houses, fame — these things fade. What lasts is your legacy.
That legacy may be your children, your image, your thoughts, your mission, your followers, your service, or your kindness.
Sadly, Aamir Liaquat left behind no lasting or positive legacy. Not one that could be placed beside the names of Moeen Akhtar — or even Junaid Jamshed. His brilliance never translated into something enduring.
May Allah forgive his shortcomings and ease his journey in the hereafter. Ameen.
